sometimes you come home and it’s too warm in your apartment to be wearing a flannel shirt. a quitter would change into a different shirt; i, of course, being pure of mind and heart, merely have it unbuttoned to the navel
i’m in a really good mood today and like, this could be attributed to various causes, e.g. the unexpected success of the experiment i was doing today which will allow me to get significantly ahead of schedule in my work, or the fact that i managed to arrange an alternative to my end-of-fellowship presentation so i don’t have to worry about being behind because i was sick
but i know it’s definitely, 100%, because it’s the first >68˚ day in months, and today i got to wear a flannel shirt
you ever wake up like “fuck, was i really up that late last night? why the hell did i do that? i knew i had to wake up at 8:30 for work this morning. what happened”
and then u open ur laptop

…..i don’t know what i expected

@gandower @fourpatch thank you both so much for your help!! i think i’ll just order some of both cascade 220 and wool of the andes & compare them, since ultimately i’d want to do that anyway if i’m getting back into knitting ~in the long term~. esp since wota is so cheap/on sale rn. this was VERY helpful, i am very relieved to be getting past my yarn paralysis
hey can anyone help me narrow down which yarn is good. i am trying to buy a few colors of worsted (#4) wool-blend yarn so i can make some hats & shit, primarily bc i would like to try stranded colorwork. i am confident enough in my ability to make something adequate after a try or two that i would like to acquire a yarn that is not entirely awful
however, since i don’t live near any yarn stores it probably makes the most sense for me to buy online, and i am so overstimulated by my attempts to sort thru stores/reviews/etc that i am on my fourth try to actually buy some yarn. do you have a relatively inexpensive decent worsted wool blend that will ship to chicago in a reasonable time & for a reasonable price. do you want to tell me what it’s called, so i stop panicking
