Ok this is going to sound weird and nitpicky but I really want an actual answer to this dilemma I have going on here.
If Victoria, James and Laurent were nomadic. And the Cullens had a permanent residence and tried everything they could to fit in with human society. Then it makes sense that the Cullens would specifically schedule in baseball games the only time they could play baseball (during a thunderstorm). But my question is, why the fuck were Victoria, James and Laurent playing so much baseball either during a thunderstorm or like on the top of a mountain somewhere that Victoria felt confident enough to know she was the one with the wicked curveball?
I know it was like a funny throwaway line but it really made me question the entire universe of twilight. Is this a normal vampire pass time? Can you wander into the forest and find a group of nomadic vampires all practicing their baseball skills with a tree branch as a bat? Would they even have a bat? I mean they seemed to only have minimal possessions, their clothes were all ripped up and stuff, were they really going into Walmart and picking up a baseball bat for their weekend game?
Surely the purpose of the baseball scene was to set up the idea that the Cullens weren’t like other vampires, they went in for the American pass time, did normal human activities together like a family would. But this development is shattered by the main villains of the story also playing baseball to a degree where they have special moves. This way no vampire is distinguishable, it is no more human of the Cullens to play baseball than it is for Victoria to play baseball, or James, even though they are set up to be the more animalistic people eating villains.
In celebration of 35k followers, I am finally having a huge give away! There will be two winners. First place and second place. First place will be able to pick their choice of everything. Second place will get to pick from whats left.
